Growing up, Gage and I had always known of each other but we never had the opportunity to get to know each other. In the
summer of 2009, I decided to text him to see if he wanted to go to the movies with a couple of our friends. (Yes, I asked him
out first ladies). We immediately hit it off. We laughed our entire way through “The Proposal”, grabbed some ice cream, and
talked the night away. One of the things that attracted me to him was that he remembered every detail of our night together:
that I had hot pink nail polish on my toes, I fit right under his chin perfectly when I hugged him, and I happened to stand a
little abnormally close to him in our pictures. That’s when I knew I had to get to know him better. Over time I learned he was
extremely close with his family, he was the funniest person that I had ever met, he had the most contagious personality, and
most importantly that he loved Jesus a whole lot. He was perfect for me. He must have felt the same way about me too because
here we are, 7 years later, high school sweethearts that will soon be saying “I Do” and spending the rest of our lives together. I
couldn’t imagine living happily ever after with anyone else.
